A LEGACY OF GOLF EXCELLENCE
Jay Haas’s journey in golf began at age 7, inspired by the pure sound of his uncle Bob Goalby’s swing. That distinctive click of a well-struck shot sparked a passion that would lead to 9 PGA Tour victories, 18 Champions Tour wins, and multiple Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup appearances.
But Jay’s proudest achievement isn’t found on his impressive competitive resume—it’s the golf legacy he’s created with his family. His sons Jay Jr. and Bill both developed their games on these very grounds before going on to successful PGA Tour careers of their own, with Bill capturing the prestigious FedEx Cup in 2011.
“This facility isn’t just about hitting balls,” Jay explains. “It’s about building the confidence that turns good swings into great rounds, and practice sessions into lifelong memories. When you join us, your golf journey becomes part of our extended family story.”
At Haas Family Golf, we believe in:
Building success from the ground up, with proper technique as the foundation for improvement.
Creating an environment where families connect through the game, building lasting memories together.
Creating a place where everyone belongs, regardless of age, skill level, or background.
Passing knowledge forward to the next generation with the same dedication and care that has defined the Haas name for decades.
Meeting every golfer where they are with honest assessment and personalized guidance.
I grew up in St. Louis, but Greenville has been my home for the last 40 years. This community supported me throughout my professional career. It’s where my wife Jan and I raised our family, and it’s where I’m going to retire.
When I look to the future of Haas Family Golf, I see a place where the whole family is welcome. Where proper technique is taught. Where equipment needs are met with expertise. And most importantly, where Greenville can be proud of having a trusted resource for golf development for generations to come.
Life has come full circle from the days when my young sons were learning the game here, their shots clanging off the roof of the lower hitting bays. With time and practice, they eventually hit it past the roof, then past the first pin, and ultimately to success on the PGA Tour.
I hope Haas Family Golf can play a part in your golf journey as it did theirs. I hope you’ll experience the value we can bring and consider becoming a member of our extended family.
Haas Family Golf isn’t just a practice facility—it’s a community of passionate golfers supporting each other’s journey in the game. From your first swing to your lowest scores, we’re here to help you write your own golf story.
